OFFERINGS Group lessons -- 8 person classes held in a beautiful dedicated yoga studio at Holly's home. Focus is on personal attention and hands-on adjustments. Class length is 90 minutes, all props provided (mat, blanket, blocks, strap, bolster, eye pillow). Class style is energetic Iyengar - intense focus on exact alignment, flowing sun salutations to make you break a sweat, slower sequences of focused deep poses, breath work, etc. Private instruction -- Personal instruction available in your or Holly's home for classes ranging from 1 to 2 hrs. Instruction in yoga rope suspension systems optional for private students choosing to do lessons in Holly's studio. Partner Yoga -- Learn how you and a friend can do complex balance moves together and use each other's bodies as leverage to get deeper into various poses. Occasional 2 hr workshops will be offered. Computer Related Injury -- Holly has experience helping people with Repetitive Strain Injury from computer use. A private yoga lesson can be adapted to work with your level of injury and will focus on sculpting your body so that it can sit more comfortably at a desk every day.

CLASS SIZE, LENGTH, TIME
WHAT TO WEAR Please wear something comfortable. It is important that your knees are visible, so please wear either shorts or pants that are tight enough that the shape of your knees can be seen through them. PROPS All props are provided. Each student will have use of the following – sticky mat, strap, 2 blocks, blanket, bolster, and silk eye pillow. ADJUSTMENTS Lots of hands-on adjustments are given in class. A hands-on adjustment is when the teacher uses his/her hands and body to align the students pose and help him/her stretch more deeply. Good adjustments will help students progress much faster. Please let Holly or Susan know if you are not comfortable being adjusted. YOUR BODY Please inform Holly of any injuries. Yoga is very adaptable and every effort will be made to provide the information you need to do a full yoga class while still nurturing any issues your body has. Ultimately, you are responsible for your own body and for paying attention to when your body is telling you not to push too hard. All new students are required to sign liability waivers. EATING BEFORE CLASS Please do not eat anything heavy for about 90 min before class, but light snacks are ok. MAKEUPS Missed classes can be made up during another class time the same session. You may do the makeup yourself or bring a friend as your makeup spot. Due to the small class size please call at least a few hours beforehand if you are doing a makeup so that space can be held. Please make an effort to attend your regular class time when possible. Holly's home is located in the Central District near Garfield High School. Location is easily accessible from I5, 520, and I90.
